Munay Cacao Elixirs
Updated: Feb 19, 2022
Indigenous myths tell of how whenever the balance between humans and nature becomes threatened, cacao comes from the rainforest to open people’s hearts and return the planet to a state of harmony.

Munay Cacao Elixir’s are a blend of high-quality raw cacao and adaptogens to initiate your highest potential. A cup of calm with medicinal properties, it is a great replacement for your morning coffee or a yummy self ritual to tune into your heart.
Who doesn't long for a good taste of chocolate every now and then? I love to create a personal ceremony as I sip my cacao to teach me how to love, to enjoy life, and to use my abilities to create beauty.
What is Cacao?
Ceremonial cacao is not Hershey’s dark chocolate. It’s a rare item that is prepared very carefully to maintain its full range of nutrients. This means it’s minimally processed and “pure” — nothing is added or removed.
The beans are high in magnesium, iron, and B-complex vitamins and have more calcium than cow’s milk. Their special ingredient is theobromine, a natural stimulant that’s longer-lasting, milder, and more pleasant than caffeine. Instead of constricting your blood vessels like caffeine does, theobromine expands them making it a vasodilator.
Cacao medicine is known as soft, feminine, and loving. It is said to stimulate heart-opening and to strengthen the feeling of connection with yourself and the people around you.
Because Cacao has the ability to connect to your heart chakra, it contributes to every transformational shift you set your intention upon, whether it is to see through and let go of old patterns and traumas, or to a deeper understanding of yourself and your unique path of life. Cacao has the potential to lift the veil of the seen world, giving you access to the world of the unseen.
What are Adaptogens?
Adaptogens have been used for hundreds of years in Ayurvedic healing. They are components of herbal medicines that are said to help the body's resilience in dealing with physical and emotional stresses. Adaptogens are also said to have anti-aging properties.

Creating your Ceremony
In my practice, ceremony involves creating a sacred environment, setting an intention, and allowing an energetic process to unfold around that intention. Setting an intention is the most important part of cacao ceremony preparation.
You could create an intention to:
Begin the day on a positive note
Process an old wound
Call in a new opportunity
Connect more deeply to a creative outlet.
To identify your intention, answer one of the following questions to yourself:
What do I want to release?
What do I want to call in?
What aspect of my healing journey am I honouring?
Preparing your Cacao
1.5 tablespoons of ceremonial cacao elixir
8oz of oat milk (or your favorite nondairy plant milk — dairy interferes with the absorption of the active compounds in cacao)
Blend or froth your blend into warm milk (do not boil). Breathe, move, and handle your utensils with awareness. Play a meditation or soothing song while you are mixing up your drink.
Mindfully smell your cacao, breathing it in
deeply. In this tranquil state, keep your eyes closed, hold the cacao with both hands at your chest, and take a deep breath. Then say what you’re grateful for out loud.
Bring your cacao up from your chest, delight in its smell and take your first sip. When you do, close your eyes and taste it fully, feeling the liquid travel down your throat and through your body.
The more you explore drinking your cacao, the more prominent the neural pathways between joy and the acts of gratitude, intention setting, and cacao drinking will become, and the easier it will be to build the habit.
